Whitening Systems

Whitening Systems

There are many whitening systems on the market today and sometimes it becomes difficult to disseminate fact from fiction. There are things you can do to help you from getting badly stained Teeth such as avoiding coffee and smoking cigarettes. But if the “die is cast” and you have badly stained teeth then you need a whitening system that  your budget and your lifestyle will warrant. Below I have included three whitening systems that should help with your badly stained teeth.

1. The Right Toothpaste

There are many brands of toothpaste that make some rather unbelievable claims when it comes to the efficiency in their ability to whiten your teeth. Rather than a main treatment you should just rely on the toothpaste as a maintenance routine. Whitening toothpastes are basically heavily concentrated with abrasives and peroxide. Each in and of itself are not enough but when both are combined you will see some marginal results.

Two brands of toothpaste, which you can use in your overall whitening systems are Aquafresh and Colgate. Each manufacturer seems to have different toothpastes for every ailment know to man. Just find the one that claims to address stained teeth and you will probably be ok.

Grapefruit seed extract toothpaste should be included in you whitening systems main repertoire. This has been shown to be very effect in combating a case of stained teeth. Although not as common in the main stream toothpastes with a bit of searching you will be able to find it and include it in your whitening systems.

2. Teeth Whitening Strips

Your Teeth Whitening Systems should include some form of teeth whitening strip. The problem with this whitening system is that for those with sensitive gums it can really be painful. If you are willing to put up with the pain then by all means this is an effective way to help whiten your teeth. Crest and Maxdodent make up the top two lines of whitening strips. Each of these can be easily found in most pharmacies and are relatively competitive in terms of price. Try both of them to see which one is less painful and works better for you.

3. Whitening Systems From The Dentist

Probably the most effective and quickest of all whitening systems can be gotten right from your dentist. Not all dentists perform this procedure but there are literally thousand that do. You can expect to get a shade difference of 6 to 9 times better with one application. If your teeth are severely stained then you may have to opt for more than one treatment. The one obvious drawback is the cost. With more competition today the prices have come down and you will just have to shop around for the best price.

There are three whitening systems that will help you get the smile you always wanted. If used in combination with each other you will have a very effective whitening system and you will be able to maintain that bright smile
